Cleaning Companies have just a couple of things to sell your company and that’s their labor, organization, and reputation. So if you see a price that is too good to be true than it probably is, because you get what you pay for from professional cleaning companies. Like any industry, there are some cleaning companies that are willing to cut corners or break the law to get an unfair advantages over the competition. The following strategies can be used to get better answers from those proposals that are so much lower than the others.
Where is Your Money Being Spent?
If someone says they can clean your building for 1/4 of the cost of the current company then ask them if they will be working 1/4 less. Ask them how they can justify such low prices. A reputable company can let you know how your money will be spent and how their employees will be compensated. All business owners know that a company needs to make a profit to stay in business. A good company will know the breakdown. It should throw up a large red flag, if a company, says they can save you a certain percentage off your cleaning bills without a full examination of your property. It’s another red flag if they can’t break down where your money will be spent.
Look for Companies Who Offer Good Services for Fair Rates
Why are the rates so low? It could be they are desperate for business or they are operating unlawfully or that they are cutting corners. Either way, do you want to associate your business with a business like that? If weren’t using pricing to get business they would probably already be out of business. It’s a vicious cycle that will eventually catch up with them. If they are operating unlawfully or cutting corners, the overall job will suffer or bring your company into a bad light if they get caught. You don’t want either of those outcomes.
Price Matters But a Good Fit Is Even More Important
Can you withdraw from a contract without a penalty? Is there one person to contact in case there’s a problem? Will the same employees clean your facility each time or will the job be done differently each week or night? Do they have experience cleaning companies in your industry? Are they local? Does your business they get from you matter to them financially? These are some questions to ask yourself when deciding on a cleaning company who could be a good fit for your business.
